The Environmental Arts Design College is a college rich in features and advantages under our college, with the four undergraduate course majors of gardening, industrial design, advertising and arts design (Decoration, furniture design, environmental arts design). It owns 85 staff members, of whom there are 39 professors/deputy professors, 28 lecturers/laboratory technicians and 15 professors invited. The college owns a teaching group with a reasonable structure, relatively high academic levels and a certain impact on its trade, which is a comprehensive environmental design college with unique majors and superior teaching conditions, integrating into one speciality teaching and design creation, and theoretical research and social practice. At present, it owns over 80 graduate students for doctor/master degrees and over 1600 undergraduate students.

At present, the college owns the doctor spot of lumber science and engineering(direction of furniture design and manufacture), the two master spots of garden, plant and gardening for view, and industrial design, and such research directions for master as furniture design and manufacture, indoor design, garden design, landscape engineering, garden plants, ecological planning, etc.

The college launched the nationwide magazine of Furniture and Indoor Decoration. Set under it are an experiment and practice plant for furniture manufacturing, a garden design institute, Shenzhen Jingchu Design Institute, a landscape and sustainable development research center, Shenzhen Environmental Design and Engineering Institute, South Central Environmental Landscape Engineering Company, and Fuda Decoration Engineering Company. 

As a multi-functional teaching experimental building, the newly-built environmental arts building owns a building area of over 6000 m² , the largest Apple Computer room of the South, and complete teaching facilities. The college has been laying stress on the training of its students’ comprehensive quality. In recent years, the rate of supply to demand on its graduate employment was always above 1: 6, and the one-time employment rate of its graduates was always 100% in the past successive four years.

The college has been laying stress on its scientific research and academic activities, undertaking more than 60 items of national and social transverse scientific research tasks and projects and directing the compilation of over 20 textbooks and monographs in recent years. And it is of fine conditions of teaching, scientific research and study.

The college has also been laying stress on its international intercommunion and cooperation, fostering friendly academic intercommunion relationships with the colleges and universities in such countries as Japan, Portugal, Finland, Italy, etc in recent years.

The college has set such scholarships as “ Weili” Talent Scholarship, etc.
